Please contact Mike Cavin, at the Board of Educational Examiners- firstname.lastname@example.org to determine teacher eligibility for participation and any of the following Institutes of Higher Education for course registration/enrollment.
It is highly recommended that you follow-up with your teachers who may currently hold the conditional endorsement to ensure that they are completing the coursework in a timely manner and taking advantage of the tuition reimbursement opportunity before it is done.
U.S. Department of Education Releases Guidance on the Use of Restraint and Seclusion in Schools
December 28, 2016 – The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) today issued legal guidance to school districts as to how the use of restraint or seclusion can result in discrimination against students with disabilities, in violation of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. In addition, the Department also released a “Fast Facts” document that provides a brief overview of the guidance.
